KeADILan deputy president Syed Husin Ali has slammed arch enemies Umno and MIC for trying to infiltrate the party by instigating Indian members to kick up a ruckus - such as the one involving Kapar MP S Manikavasagam - and giving an impression that KeADILan was about to split up.

The Pakatan Rakyat leader said the two parties then roped in their newspapers and other media to further sensationalise the issue and misrepresent the facts nationwide.

Sekurang-kurangnya 12,000 warga Sarawak termasuk 6,000 penyokong Adun Ngemah Gabriel Adit menyerahkan borang menyertai KeADILan.

Permohonan mereka diserahkan kepada Ketua Umum Anwar Ibrahim di satu majlis makan malam besar-besaran di Sibu 15 November lalu. Sokongan rakyat Sarawak, khususnya golongan muda, kepada KeADILan jelas dengan kehadiran lebih 4,000 orang memeriahkan majlis makan malam bersama mantan Timbalan Perdana Menteri itu.
